A private collection record should help the owner organize watches, documents and intent without turning ownership into public content.
01

Private by default

A collection record should help an owner remember references, documents, service and intent without requiring public display. Privacy is therefore the starting state in My Annex, not an optional setting added later.

The record exists first for the owner. A watch does not become inventory, a social post or a dealer opportunity merely because it has been saved.

02

A useful record needs more than a name

Record the exact reference when known, acquisition context, box and papers, service history, bracelet links, condition photographs and important documents. Store serial details carefully and avoid placing the only copy beside the watch itself.

Good records support insurance conversations, service decisions, family planning and future transactions. They also reduce the chance that accessories or history become detached from the correct watch.

03

Owning and wanting are different

A private collection should distinguish between watches a person owns and watches they want without making either group public. A wanted watch can remain a private note or become a sourcing request. An owned watch can remain private or move toward valuation or sale.

Separating a saved record from a request prevents accidental exposure. The owner chooses when WatchAnnex may involve professional dealers.

04

Share only with purpose

When an owner chooses Sell My Watch, relevant details can be shared privately with eligible professional dealers. That is controlled disclosure for a specific purpose, not a consumer-to-consumer listing.

Share only what helps a professional evaluate the opportunity. Sensitive documents and identifying details should remain restricted until they are genuinely required.

05

A collection should support decisions

A private collection becomes valuable when it answers practical questions: What do I own? What needs service? What is insured? What might I consolidate? What am I still looking for?

My Annex is designed around those decisions. The goal is a private working record that can connect to Find, Value or Sell when the owner asks it to.
